Eedi Maths Research Project

Be a part of our game-changing project to help us understand the effectiveness of Eedi and improve the results of low income KS3 students!

Updated over a week ago

We are Eedi, a maths platform combining best-in-class pedagogy, technology and a network of qualified maths teachers to close 95% of knowledge gaps and we’ve secured a $12M grant to be part of a game-changing research project.

One key goal for the project is to improve the results of low income KS3 students, and to help us measure this, we will be running a trial to test the effectiveness of our platform for supplementing maths teaching.

👋 We’re inviting a handful of schools to take part and would love for you to be involved if you will be teaching any of the following topics this year:

  • Operations & equations with directed numbers (Year 7)

  • Addition and subtraction of fractions (Year 7)

  • Place Value and ordering (Year 7)

  • Fractions, decimals & percentage equivalence (Year 7)

  • Fractions & percentages (Year 8)

  • Standard Index Form & developing number sense (Year 8)

  • Working in the Cartesian Plane (Year 8)

  • Representing data & tables and probability (Year 8)

  • Rotation and translation (Year 9)

  • Pythagoras theorem (Year 9)

  • Three dimensional shapes (Year 9)

  • Constructions & congruency (Year 9)

In return for your involvement, we’ll provide the following:

  • Free on-demand support from UK maths teachers from 9am-8pm for every pupil involved for the rest of the school year.

  • Online training for you and your department.

  • Dedicated support.

All we ask of you is the following:

  • Select two middle ability KS3 classes in the same year group (7, 8 or 9).

  • For the first class, you will use Eedi as a supplement to your teaching for the duration of one of the above topics. This class will get full access to Eedi during the trial.

  • For the second class, you will not use Eedi as a supplement to your teaching on the duration of the topic. This class will get full access to Eedi after the trial.

  • Both classes complete a 15-minute pre and post assessment with no teacher marking.

  • Access to your Pupil Premium data. Any data shared outside of Eedi will be completely anonymised.

If you’re interested in taking part, please book a call with us here to find out more about this opportunity.
